A chance remark led to a chance question and from that arose a unique opportunity to start my Astrology studies on a one-to-one basis with a very talented astrologer, and a lovely lady, Kate Hamilton. I will be eternally grateful to her for sharing her knowledge with me in a fun and enjoyable way. That was 13 years ago and I have not stopped exploring the field of Astrology since then.
"A year to learn and a lifetime to study" is a famous quote about Astrology and I feel I will be learning until the day I die! These 13 years have been peppered with "Ah-Ha" moments when realisation, clarity and insights have dawned, both about myself, other people and events in my life. I have gained a huge understanding of so many things that has enabled me to let go of and heal old patterns from the past and improve my present and my future.
More recently I have studied Karmic astrology with Judy Hall and find this area of Astrology fascinating and illuminating. It has added to my existing knowledge and helped me to gain deeper insights. The knowledge gained, insights revealed and subsequent changes and healing have been personally rewarding and I have been delighted to help many clients gain insights for themselves.
I approach Astrology from a spiritual perspective, that is, I believe that we are eternal Souls who have chosen our lives to give us the opportunity for spiritual growth. Our natal (birth) chart gives vital clues to past lives and Soul intentions in this lifetime. We can see old, habitual patterns that we are trying to break away from and what we are working on this time around. Many of our karmic patterns will be replayed through events in our childhood which we then can carry on into adulthood until we are able to heal them. Family patterns and dynamics are often revealed in our charts and understanding them can be a big catalyst for healing the past. Once free of these, we can approach our future much clearer and express ourselves more authentically.
I have also trained as a sensitive which helped me to develop my skills as a claircogniscant, helping me to intuitively read a person's astrology chart, using the chart as a knowledge base and prompt.
As well as the natal chart, huge insights can be gained into looking at what is going on in the skies at the moment and how that will be resonating in our lives. It can be very helpful to understand why something is happening, to be able to look beneath the surface and see the bigger picture.
In personal readings and my insights, blogs etc, I try to avoid jargon and technical terms as much as possible. To me, it is about how you experience the energies of your chart or the current astrology. We may be eternal Souls, but we are living a human existence and that comes with challenges and emotions. It may be helpful to know that Pluto is currently aspecting your Mars, but I believe it is much more helpful to look at how that might be manifesting in challenges in your life and how it makes you feel. Then we can look at the deeper patterns and what you are being encouraged to develop within yourself.
